Day 1.
Tbilisi, our guide and assistant with poster: IRIDIUM-TRAVEL will meet you at Tbilisi Airport. Transfer by comfortable bus or minibus to Tbilisi hotel. Dislocation; Light Lunch (sandwiches, hot or cool drinks). Rest. Dinner. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour to Tbilisi. Supper in the traditional Georgian restaurant. Return to the hotel.

Day 2.
Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out. Set-out at 9 a.m. Start for the north Georgia by a military road. Village Bodorna. Sturdy deluvion ( talus) range. Witness of erosion – “Bodorna Pillar”. Zhinvali water reservoir. Lime stones of Cretaceous period; Flysch sediments; Ananuri. Beautiful fortress of the 12-th-17th centuries; three churches of quite different styles. Fossil fauna (mollusks) of -Jurassic Period. Lunch in Fasanauri. Mleta. Volcanic lava foreheads of the forth period. Andesite columns; Gudauri. Volcanic stratums. Jvari pass (2380 m). The most beautiful landscape covered by Caucasian rhododendron. Watershed range of the Caucasus; continue the way. Mineral springs. Traventine stratum. Kazbegi settlement. Accommodation in the guest-house of a famous family – the Kazalikashvilis. Wonderful views on the mountain Kazbegi from the balcony (5033 m). Dinner. Visit to the famous Alpine Museum arranged in this family. Sightseeing of Kazbegi. Supper. Sleep.

Day 3.
Breakfast. Set-out at 10 a.m. Truso gorge. The gorge is the source of one of the most important rivers in Caspian Basin – the Terek. Sedimentary rocks of upper Jurassic Period. Fourth period volcanism. Sturdy sediments with flora fossils. Mineral springs and lake. Dinner in the nature. Modern travertines. Beautiful sub-alpine-alpine landscape. Old Cyclopean fortresses; to the Suatisi glacier. Camp set-up. Supper. Sleep in the tents.

Day 4.
Breakfast. Set out to Suatisi glacier. Khokhi range - north division of the watershed range of the Caucasus. Lunch on the way. Back to the camp. Camp break-up. Dinner. Return to Kazbegi. Night in the guest-house.

Day 5.
To Devdoraki Glacier. Breakfast. Set-out at 9 a.m. by transport. Dariali gorge. Village Tsdo. Plinzebach- Toars border of Jurassic Period. Pillow lavas. Village Gveleti. Paleozoic granitites. Right gorge of Gveleti. To the Devdoraki glacier serpentine. Walk to the camp site. Camp set-up. Dinner. Rest. Beautiful sub-alpine landscape on Devdoraki glacier. Slopes covered with Caucasian rhododendron. Supper. Night in the camp (2100 m).

Day 6.
Breakfast. Walk to Devdoraki glacier tongue through a narrow path. You are given the chance to watch the unique representative of Caucasian fauna – Dagestan rocky mountain goat. Walk on the Devdoraki glacier. Devdoraki glacier is one of those three mountains that make up the extensions of the mountain Kazbegi. Leave the glacier; in 1900 Belgian engineers were mining copper poly-metals. Visit the stulms. Take tests. To the Camp. Dinner. Camp break-up. Down to the car. Return to Kazbegi. Supper. Night in the guest-house.

Day 7.
Breakfast. Set-out at 10 a.m. to the Trinity Church by car (2200 m). Ensemble of the 14th century. 5-hour slow walk to Gegeti glacier. Hight lunch on the way. Reach “Sabertse”. Camp set-up. See the river source from the glacier tongue. Supper. Night in the camp (3200 m).

Day 8.
Wake up at 6 a.m. (caused by the fact that we have a river forcing ahead and it will be very difficult to do it during a day-time as the ice starts melting and the level of the water raises); Breakfast; set-out at 7 a.m. River forcing; one-hour slow-walk on moraines; lateral moraines; “Ram Foreheads”. To the glacier. Lectures on how the Caucasus was formed. Fractions sightseeing. Return to the spring. Lunch. Back to the camp. Camp break-up. Down to the Trinity Church. Down to the settlement Kazbegi by car. Dinner. Night in the guest-house.

Day 9.
Breakfast. Set-out at 9 a.m. by transport. Sno gorge. Ethnographic Museum of village Karkuchi. High-mountainous village Juta (2200 m); the only village in Kazbegi region inhabited by a cardinally different ethnic group – Khevsurians. Lunch. To ride to Jortkhorkhi gorge on horseback. Pillow lavas; “Ram Foreheads”; Trog canyons. Cross the watershed range of the Caucasus. Khevsureti province; the Abudelauri Lake. Camp. Dinner. Night in the camp.

Day 10.
Breakfast. Walk down to Roshka. Beautiful alpine landscape. To the car. Lunch. Departure. Back to Tbilisi via the Aragvi gorge of Khevsureti. Dinner. Wisit the sulfur baths – Purification and Relaxation Ritual. Night in hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 11.

Breakfast in the hotel. Visit to the Geological Museum of Tbilisi State University. Dinner. Outdoor Ethnographic Museum of Georgia. Farewell banquette in a traditional Georgian restaurant. Hotel.

Day 12.

Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out. Transfer to the Airport.

Guest-house:
"Kasalika-House" is located in the centre of the settlement Kazbegi. Picturesque view - mountain Kazbegi (Mkinvarcveri). Comfortable bath and lavatory. Warm water. The Alpine museum. Special library for Mountaineering.

Transport:
comfortable minibus or bus.
Equipments: Participants of the tour must have everything necessary for walking:
sleeping bag (-10+10 C), carbine, water-proof dress, warm dress, belt-binder, (Some of these things can be hired on the spot.)

Force-Major:

In case of force major circumstances (weather, acts of god) the receiving party retains the right to change the section of the route, the fulfillment of which will be dangerous for the participants of the tour. In this case the receiving party will offer some alternate measures and the participants may select the version appropriate for them.

Diet:
Vegetarians and the people on special diet have to inform us in advance.

Medicine:
The tour is for healthy people. Please inform us about your illness in advance, to be on the save side.
